The archive includes early black-and-white as well as color (film and digital) photography shot on a Rollei — in, for example, numerous country houses in England, abandoned structures, or formal gardens.
Then, after delving more decidedly into photography from painting, the artist experimented with developing her internegs (at ICP labs) to create what only appear as “negatives”. These end up comprising a large part of final prints, and make up much of the artist’s current archive.
As film equipment began to take up more and more studio space, it became clear that digital equipment might enhance, animate, and uplift a now increasingly lengthy process. At this point, the artist took another leap and transitioned her attention from the Rollei to a Hasselblad. With it, she found a way to bridge previous painting and current photography endeavors.
